Step 1 - Take a picture

Documenting how everything is connected and put together now will help you reassemble in the long run.  Take an extra minute to snap pictures of the connection areas of your monitors, computer, and phone systems.

Color Coding

If you have access to colored stickers, a useful trick is to attach a color to both the cable and the port after the cable is removed.  Then you can just match the colors up when reconnnecting!

Monitor

Your monitor may be connected to your computer by a variety of connections.  The DisplayPort cable, as shown above, requires you to press the tab on the connection before it will release from the monitor.  Do not force the cable to release.

Cisco IP Phone

Your Cisco IP Phone may have 2 or 3 cables connected to the back.  One of these is the handset, the others provide power and connectivity.
